Muster on the St. Mary's - A Time Line Event top

Do you know what the differences in life were during the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War?  Do you know why the United States went to war in 1812?  Do you know what the lives of women and children were like during any of these times?  Come to the Old Fort on Saturday, May 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 18th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and see for yourself.  Join us for a Timeline event covering the time from the birth of our nation to the time when the nation was divided. Admission of a free will donation is appreciated.

Colonial America top

Come join General Washington’s army as they camp at Fort Wayne.  They will be completing drills with their muskets as well as the cannons.  Join the men as they complete their tasks and guard duty.  Talk with the women as they complete daily work tasks around the fort.  Spend time playing games with your children.  Please join us on Saturday, June 7th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 8th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission of a free will donation is appreciated.

Three Rivers Festival - War of 1812 Encampment top

Be transported back in time to the 19th Century, when the second war of independence for the United States was raging.  On Saturday, July 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday July 13th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the War of 1812 is waging at the Old Fort.  Talk with the soldiers about the life in the army; watch the tactile demonstrations of how soldiers would have either chosen to fight or to be “chivalrous” and fight another day.  See the Mounted Militia as they and their horses drill.  Talk with the women and the children of the Old Fort about how different life was for them compared to today.  Join your children with playing games of that time period. Admission of a free will donation is appreciated.

Three Rivers Festival - Civil War Encampment top

Hear the cannons roar and the rifles and muskets fire, listen to the soldiers as they complete their drills, talk with the cooks who make the food for those who live at the Old Fort.  Join the Civil War re-enactors at the Old Fort on  Saturday, July 19th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday July 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., as they return to the time when families were divided.  There will be soldiers and their families to talk with, as well as children games and various demonstrations to either participate in or observe. Admission of a free will donation is appreciated.
